ABS Ilorin FC Partners Sports Flames Communications to Boost Strategic Growth

ABS Ilorin FC has entered into a strategic partnership with Sports Flames Communications as part of efforts to strengthen its brand, expand commercial opportunities and enhance its overall football operations.

The collaboration was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at the Taiwo Awoniyi Media Centre, George Innih Stadium, Ilorin, on Friday.

Under the agreement, Sports Flames Communications will serve as the club’s Strategic Marketing Partner, supporting initiatives aimed at boosting visibility, fan engagement, sponsorship development and corporate communications.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, the Director of Football at ABS Ilorin FC, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, described the partnership as an important milestone in the club’s growth and professional development.

According to him, the arrangement aligns with the club’s commitment to adopting modern football management practices and creating a sustainable operational structure.

“This is one of the strategic steps we are taking to ensure that ABS FC operates at the highest professional standards.

“By bringing in Sports Flames Communications, we are welcoming a partner that understands the business side of football and is ready to contribute to our long term vision,” he said.

Chukwuemeka noted that the partnership would help improve the club’s market presence while creating stronger connections with supporters and potential sponsors.

He also highlighted ABS FC’s reputation as a leading talent development institution, pointing to its track record of producing players who have gone on to achieve success both within Nigeria and abroad.

He expressed confidence that the collaboration would contribute positively to the club’s aspirations on and off the field, particularly as it seeks to strengthen its competitive position.

The partnership is expected to focus on strategic marketing, sponsorship acquisition, media relations, fan engagement programmes and the overall promotion of club activities.

It comes at a time when ABS FC is intensifying efforts to secure a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Speaking on behalf of Sports Flames Communications, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Olawale Olatoye, commended ABS FC for its consistency and contribution to football development over the years.

He described the club as one of Nigeria’s most respected privately owned football institutions, noting that maintaining such a structure in the country’s football environment requires dedication and vision.

Olatoye said the club’s commitment to youth development and its well established organisational framework influenced the decision to enter into the partnership.

He cited several players who emerged from the club’s system, including Benjamin Frederick, Olakunle Olusegun, Issah Gata, Mubarak Adekunle, Ernest Governor and David Okoromi, as evidence of its impact on Nigerian football.

According to him, Sports Flames Communications intends to deploy a strategic and results driven approach to support the club’s objectives.

He acknowledged that meaningful progress would require patience, dedication and effective execution but expressed confidence in the prospects of the partnership.

“We already have a clear roadmap and strategy in place. Our goal is to work alongside ABS FC and contribute to the club’s continued growth and success,” he said.

The agreement signals a fresh chapter for ABS Ilorin FC as it seeks to strengthen its commercial profile, expand its reach and build a stronger foundation for future achievements.
