The Zamfara State Government says Governor Dauda Lawal’s ongoing consultations with key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across the state underscore the party’s strength, unity and growing influence.
The Director-General, Media and Communications, Zamfara Government House, Malam Nuhu Anka, stated this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Gusau.
Anka described the statewide engagements as a strategic move aimed at reinforcing internal cohesion, inclusiveness and party dominance across Zamfara.
According to him, the consultations commenced on Tuesday at the Government House in Gusau, beginning with a meeting involving about 40 PDP stakeholders from Gummi Local Government Area.
He explained that the initiative was designed to ensure broad representation and active participation of party members from all parts of the state.
“The meetings form part of an ongoing and well-coordinated consultation process that highlights Governor Lawal’s commitment to the PDP and his resolve to further strengthen the party at all levels,” Anka said.
He added that the engagements provided a platform for detailed discussions on political developments affecting both the party and the state, while also allowing stakeholders to collectively plan ahead of future political activities.
Anka noted that the consultations clearly demonstrated that the PDP remained a formidable, united and influential political force in Zamfara, stressing that the process had further consolidated the party’s structures statewide.
He disclosed that the governor would, in the coming weeks, continue to host PDP stakeholders from all local government areas, listening to their concerns, suggestions and assessments of political and developmental issues within their communities.
“This level of engagement will deepen party cohesion and send a clear signal of Governor Lawal’s unwavering commitment to the PDP,” he said.
Anka added that the meetings reaffirmed the PDP’s stability and readiness to continue providing focused and purposeful leadership in Zamfara State.
