Lagos Lawmaker Urges Mass Participation in APC E-Registration Ahead of 2027 Elections

A Lagos lawmaker, Stephen Ogundipe, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration as crucial for effective planning ahead of the 2027 elections. Ogundipe, representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I, made the remark on Tuesday after completing his registration through the party’s new digital platform.

Speaking to journalists, he said the data generated would serve as a powerful tool for planning at both state and national levels. “The new e-registration is not just about numbers, but understanding our structure and dynamics for better, more scientific planning,” he explained.

As Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Ogundipe noted that the information would enable the party to analyse age, religion, and gender distribution among members, conduct detailed SWOT analyses, and make informed decisions on targeted political strategies nationwide.

He urged residents and party members, particularly in Oshodi-Isolo, to participate actively in the ongoing registration exercise. Ogundipe emphasized that mass participation would demonstrate support for President Bola Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda.

Highlighting the importance of mobilisation, he added that the President was dissatisfied with APC’s performance in Lagos during the last election. “With unity and proper mobilisation, we can reposition the party and secure stronger results in future elections,” he said.

The exercise is part of the party’s efforts to strengthen internal structures, boost engagement, and consolidate support nationwide.
