The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has extended warm Christmas greetings and New Year wishes to Nigerians, expressing optimism about the country’s future.
In a statement released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy, Mr. Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda described the festive season as a time for renewed hope, national unity, and progress.
“On behalf of the National Working Committee of our great party, I extend warm Christmas greetings and best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year to all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora,” he said.
The APC chairman also congratulated APC governors, including the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, as well as members of the National Assembly and party executives at all levels. He commended party members nationwide for their loyalty and commitment to democratic governance.
Highlighting the significance of Christmas, Yilwatda said the season offers Nigerians an opportunity to reflect on shared values and collective aspirations. “Christmas calls on us to renew our faith in the promise of Nigeria and look ahead with optimism and confidence in a brighter future,” he added.
Reaffirming the party’s support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Yilwatda noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda focuses on economic recovery, institutional reforms, social inclusion, national security, and sustainable development. He acknowledged that the reforms were demanding but necessary for long-term national stability and prosperity.
He assured Nigerians that their sacrifices were not in vain and urged APC members to remain united and disciplined in supporting government policies.
“As we celebrate Christmas and prepare for the New Year, let us remain united in purpose and resolute in our determination to build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
Yilwatda concluded by wishing Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a peaceful, successful, and rewarding New Year.
