NCDMB to inaugurate eight Nigerian oil, gas industrial parks in 2026

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has announced that its Nigerian Oil and Gas Parks Scheme (NOGAPS), aimed at boosting local manufacturing and increasing Nigerian content in the oil and gas industry, will be inaugurated in 2026.

Dr. Abdulmalik Halilu, NCDMB’s Director of Corporate Services, said eight industrial parks are being established across Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Delta, Ondo, Abia, and Edo states, with the Bayelsa and Cross River parks already 90% complete. The parks are expected to provide infrastructure and support for domestic manufacturing, aiming to retain jobs, capital, and industrialisation opportunities within Nigeria.

Halilu also highlighted the board’s achievements, including the Nigeria LNG Train 7 project, which involved over 93% Nigerian workforce participation and engagement of 1,400 local vendors. The NCDMB has fully automated its processes, introduced intervention financing programs, and continues to enforce compliance with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act, which institutionalises local content policies.

The board emphasised its commitment to continuous media engagement to deepen public understanding of Nigerian content achievements and support national economic growth.
