Hallelujah Challenge day 15 surpasses one million online views

The 2025 edition of the Hallelujah Challenge, a global online praise and worship event led by acclaimed Nigerian gospel minister Nathaniel Bassey, has once again attracted over one million viewers across various social media platforms.

Recent streaming data reveals that the combined audience surpassed 1.2 million during the midnight session on Wednesday.

Now in its 15th day for the October session, the virtual gathering has drawn participants from around the world, uniting Christians in passionate worship via platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

Since its inception in 2017 as a spontaneous Instagram Live worship session, the Hallelujah Challenge has grown into one of the largest online Christian gatherings globally.

What started modestly in Bassey’s living room has transformed into a worldwide movement of collective praise, prayer, deliverance, and sharing of testimonies.

Bassey described the surge in online participation as a divine phenomenon beyond mere human planning.

“What began as a simple obedience to lead a midnight praise session has blossomed into a global worship altar,” he remarked. “Whenever we lift our voices, God moves powerfully across borders and denominations.”

Media outlets within Nigeria and internationally have acknowledged the consistent increase in viewership throughout 2025, hailing the Hallelujah Challenge as one of the decade’s most impactful digital faith movements.

The event typically commences at 11:59 p.m. and lasts for an hour filled with intense praise and prayer.

Each edition runs for a set period and often culminates in a ‘Hallelujah Festival,’ a live gathering that brings together thousands for worship, testimonies, and intercession.

Reflecting on the Challenge’s mission, Bassey emphasized that its core remains in sincere worship and the transformative power of unified praise.

“The Hallelujah Challenge is more than just an event—it’s a movement. When believers unite to exalt God, miracles occur. That’s been evident since 2017, and we are only getting started,” he said.

From its early days with tens of thousands of viewers, the Challenge has steadily grown to reach millions.

Many participants have shared stories of healing, breakthroughs, and divine encounters, amplifying the event’s influence across digital platforms.

As the October session continues, momentum is building, with Bassey encouraging attendees to hold firm in faith and praise.

“In these challenging times, the world needs hope. Through praise, we declare that God reigns and hears our prayers,” he affirmed.
