PLANE Boosts Digital Capacity of 504 Teachers in Kaduna

More than 500 teachers in Kaduna State have undergone training on digital teaching platforms under the Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria (PLANE). The training was designed to help participants exchange ideas, enhance professional practice, and ultimately improve pupils’ learning outcomes.

The initiative, known as the Digital Community of Practice, is aimed at creating a network of digitally skilled teachers.

The programme, piloted in four local government areas, also enabled participants to earn credit units under the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) scheme.

Muhammad applauded TRCN for promoting digital literacy among teachers, noting that Kaduna SUBEB was committed to ensuring every teacher benefits from the opportunities the project presents.

He also commended PLANE and congratulated the teachers who successfully completed the training, urging them to apply the knowledge to improve classroom learning and student performance.

The initiative, supported by the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), is part of broader efforts to boost foundational literacy and numeracy across Kaduna State.
