Reports: French ship attacked in Strait of Hormuz, crew members injured

A French shipping operator, CMA CGM, has confirmed that one of its vessels came under attack on Tuesday while sailing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Local reports identified the ship as San Antonio, saying it was targeted while passing through the strategically important waterway.

Following the incident, injured crew members were evacuated for medical care, while the vessel reportedly suffered damage.

Separately, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy reiterated its warning to ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, advising them to use only the designated maritime corridor previously announced by Iranian authorities.
