Accord Party Begins Nationwide E-Registration Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Accord Party has commenced a nationwide electronic registration and revalidation of its members as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, the party’s National Chairman, Maxwell Mgbudem, said the e-registration exercise began on Tuesday.

Mgbudem explained that the initiative aligns with the provisions of the new Electoral Act, which mandates political parties to maintain a digital membership register for accrediting members during congresses, primaries and conventions.

He urged existing members, including those in the diaspora, as well as prospective members, to take advantage of the exercise to register and obtain new membership cards.

The chairman also advised individuals who had previously registered under earlier party platforms to participate in the new exercise, noting that additional information is now required. He directed members to complete the process through the party’s designated online portal.

According to him, the national leadership has issued guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient registration process, stressing the urgency of the exercise.

He called on ward, local government, state and zonal executives to mobilise members for a robust membership drive aimed at strengthening the party ahead of upcoming elections.

Mgbudem described Accord as a fast-growing political party and urged Nigerians to unite in support of its vision for building a stronger and more just democratic nation.
