Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin, the renowned human rights activist, has announced the passing of his younger sister, Comrade Francisca Mebu, nee Okei.
Okei-Odumakin shared the news in a family statement on Tuesday, confirming that his sister died on Monday in Abuja at the age of 51.
The statement appealed to the public to respect the family’s privacy during their time of mourning.
“May her soul rest in peace, and may her children and husband find strength and comfort in this difficult time,” the statement added.
The family did not provide further details surrounding her death.
