The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, on Thursday decorated 265 officers recently promoted after passing the 2025 promotion examination.
Speaking at the decoration ceremony held at the command’s headquarters in Kano, the State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan-Agalama, described the promotion as a major milestone in the officers’ careers and a reward for dedication, integrity and loyalty to constituted authority.
Hassan-Agalama noted that the promoted officers had displayed professionalism, competence and strong leadership in the discharge of their duties, adding that promotion ultimately comes from God.
He urged the officers to see their elevation as a call to higher responsibility and to continue upholding the core values of the corps, including courage, diligence and professionalism.
“Their actions and decisions will now carry greater weight as they assume higher responsibilities within the command,” he said.
The commandant commended the Commandant-General of the NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Audi, and the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for prioritising personnel welfare and career progression. He also appreciated the support of sister security agencies, stakeholders and guests at the event.
The Special Guest of Honour, Rep. Abdulhakim Kamilu-Ado, representing Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency, described promotion as a reflection of dedication, service and commitment to peace and security in Kano State and the country at large.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, ACC Shitu Muhammad-Dangora thanked the NSCDC management for finding them worthy of promotion and pledged renewed commitment to service.
The event was attended by representatives of the NDLEA, FRSC, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Customs Service, other security agencies, as well as family members and friends of the officers.
