Yari Helps Zamfara Youths Secure Jobs in Army and Federal Agencies

Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (APC – Zamfara West) has facilitated Nigerian Army placements for 517 unemployed youths from Zamfara West Senatorial District.

The development was announced on Thursday in Talata Mafara by Alhaji Sha’ayau Sarkinfawa, Coordinator of Yari’s Constituency Office, during the office’s monthly meeting.

The meeting brought together coordinators from the six local government areas—Anka, Bakura, Bukkuyum, Gummi, Maradun, and Talata Mafara—alongside other officials from the senatorial district office.

Sarkinfawa explained that the 517 youths secured Army jobs through various batches of the Nigerian Army recruitment exercises facilitated by the lawmaker.

“This initiative is aimed at reducing unemployment among youths in the district while complementing the Federal Government’s efforts under President Bola Tinubu to address security challenges nationwide,” he said.

In addition, nine university graduates from the constituency were also placed in various Federal Government agencies.

The Coordinator added that Yari approved the installation of 200 solar-powered street lights in four communities across Anka and Maradun LGAs, areas that have been experiencing persistent security issues.

“The streetlights are part of the lawmaker’s intervention to enhance safety and security in these communities,” Sarkinfawa said.

He noted that the initiative complements other interventions in security, health, education, and women and youth empowerment across all six local government areas of the district.

Sarkinfawa reaffirmed Yari’s commitment to creating employment opportunities for unemployed youths, particularly graduates from tertiary institutions, and to providing socio-economic support for vulnerable families affected by banditry.

He called on residents to continue praying for lasting peace and stability across Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole.
