The Inspector-General of Police (I-G), Mr. Olukayode Egbetokun, has ordered the deployment of newly promoted Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) Mohammed Gumel, along with 16 other Commissioners of Police (CPs), to strategic positions nationwide.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, noting that the deployments aim to strengthen operational capacity, improve leadership, enhance public safety, and boost service delivery.
DIG Gumel has been assigned to head the Force Intelligence Department (FID), while Aina Adesola takes charge as CP in Delta State. Other notable postings include:

CSP Hundeyin said the I-G urged the officers to leverage their experience to provide effective and result-oriented leadership. He also emphasized that they are expected to uphold professionalism, integrity, ethical conduct, and strict adherence to the rule of law.
