NASLAF Women Leader Sponsors Capacity-Building Programme for Female Legislative Aides

The National Women Leader of the National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASLAF), Ayoola Fakunle, has sponsored a capacity-building programme aimed at enhancing the skills and productivity of female legislative aides.

Speaking at the conclusion of the training, Fakunle said the initiative was designed to improve legislative efficiency and equip aides with knowledge critical to lawmaking processes.

“Legislative aides remain an indispensable component of the legislature. The effectiveness of lawmakers largely depends on the quality of support they receive from their aides,” she said.

Fakunle highlighted that part of the training focused on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), noting the importance of keeping aides technologically relevant in a rapidly digitalising world. Participants were also provided with working materials, including tablets, to support them in carrying out their duties effectively.

In a related gesture, Fakunle sponsored West African Examinations Council (WAEC) registration fees for indigent students in select secondary schools in Kwara State, describing it as part of her ongoing commitment to supporting the less privileged.

She encouraged Nigerians to continue supporting the needy as a way of promoting social development, while wishing the students success in their examinations.
