PalmPay Ltd., a leading fintech company, on Tuesday launched an anti-fraud awareness initiative in Kano to strengthen the safety of digital transactions and curb fraudulent practices on its platform.

The Managing Director of PalmPay Ltd., Mr. Chika Reginald-Nwosu, explained that the campaign was created to safeguard users from scam tactics and boost their confidence while using PalmPay services.

He urged customers to remain vigilant when receiving unsolicited links via mobile devices or social media and to always verify suspicious content before opening it.

He revealed that the company currently has more than two million ATM cards in active use, enabling customers to withdraw cash from ATMs of any commercial bank nationwide.

“PalmPay is dedicated to stamping out fraud within its system and remains focused on driving incidents of financial crime down to zero.

“This initiative is part of the company’s broader commitment to maintaining a secure and trustworthy digital payment space in Nigeria,” he added.

The anti-fraud drive concluded with a public sensitisation walk across major areas in Kano, where residents were educated about common fraud risks and how to avoid them.
