At 30, Trinity International College renews appeal for partnerships to keep nurturing future leaders

Trinity International College, Ofada has reiterated its appeal for stronger collaboration from parents, alumni, institutions, government, and partners to help sustain its mission of developing future-ready leaders.

The college’s Chairman, Board of Governors, Mr. Bayo Kolade, made this call at a media briefing ahead of the school’s 30th anniversary celebrations on Thursday in Ofada.

Kolade reaffirmed the college’s commitment to nurturing godly, competent, and responsible leaders as it marked three decades of education rooted in faith, excellence, and innovation.

He noted that the school was established as a co-educational, full-boarding institution dedicated to developing students’ intellectual, moral, and spiritual capacities.

According to him, its vision remains centered on raising individuals of character, competence, and compassion who will make meaningful contributions to society.

He stressed that achieving this vision depended on strong collaboration with stakeholders committed to supporting the next generation of leaders.

Kolade added that the institution had since expanded its educational footprint with the creation of Trinity High School (Day School) in 2014 and Trinity University in 2019, further strengthening its holistic learning system.

“We remain committed to sustaining excellence and relevance in education, preparing students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to excel in a constantly evolving world,” he said.

The chairman also highlighted the school’s broadened curriculum, which includes skill-based clubs that introduce students to web design and other emerging fields.

Founded in 1995 with eight pioneer students at a temporary site in Ikeja, Lagos, the school relocated to its permanent site at Trinity Hills, Ofada, three years later.

Similarly, Mr. Samuel Olatunji, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Trinity Group, said the institution would continue to uphold its values while producing students who excel academically, embody strong character, and make positive societal impact.

He emphasized that education goes beyond classroom learning, describing it as a process of building values and shaping leaders who can transform society.

In her remarks, the Director of Education, Mrs. Rebecca Adeyemo, highlighted the school’s notable achievements, including winning the ICAN FAME Southwest Championship and producing top performers in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).

Adeyemo added that students had distinguished themselves globally, representing Nigeria at the World Science Olympiads and earning recognition in sports, arts, and leadership—achievements that reinforce the school’s reputation for global excellence.

She noted that the college’s mission, anchored in Christian values, informs its decisions and partnerships, ensuring consistent academic excellence and holistic student development.

The director also listed the school’s core values—academic excellence, professionalism, responsibility, integrity, leadership, and Christian faith—as pillars that shape its culture and accomplishments.

She explained that the 30th anniversary celebrations began with a press conference, describing the institution’s journey as a testament to perseverance, faith, and a culture of excellence.

Earlier, Mr. Austin Omame, Chairman of the Anniversary Organising Committee, revealed that the week-long celebration would recognise pioneer staff, the first principal, and the longest-serving employees.

Planned activities include an alumni homecoming, community service at the Ofada Health Centre, cultural displays, exhibitions, drama presentations, a variety showcase, and a novelty match.

He added that the anniversary lecture would be delivered by Prof. Olanrewaju Olaniyan, Vice-Chancellor of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, with a thanksgiving service rounding off the celebrations.
