An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Friday remanded a 23-year-old man, Idowu Yinusa, in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly possessing a locally made gun.
The defendant, an unemployed man who resides at Igando, Lagos, is being tried for unlawful possession of gun.
The Magistrate, Mrs M. O Popoola, refused to listen to his plea and ordered him to be remanded in the Kirikiri Correctional Centre .
Popoola adjourned the case until March 26 for Director of Public Prosecution’s advice (DPP).
The prosecutor, Insp. Innocent Odugbo, told the court that the offence was committed on Jan. 11, at Igando Waterside area, Lagos.
