Nigeria @ 65: Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is Working-APC Chieftain

The Leader of the Progressives Group, Dr. Ben Nwoye, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, saying it is working effectively and making an impact across all sectors of the country. Nwoye, who is the immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, stated this in Enugu on Monday while speaking to journalists as Nigeria marked its 65th independence anniversary.

He commended Tinubu for stabilising the economy after nearly a decade of challenges, noting that the country has recorded progressive GDP growth in various quarters since the President assumed office. According to Nwoye, the administration’s strong security measures and improved community relations have helped reduce crude oil theft, minimise production disruptions and boost crude oil output. He also lauded the government for achieving a continuous decline in food price inflation, which he described as a major source of concern before the current reforms were introduced.

Nwoye emphasised that these evidence-based achievements show that the policies and economic reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration are beginning to yield results. He likened the process of nation-building to the saying that “Rome was not built in a day,” stressing that Nigeria’s transformation will take time but is clearly on the right path.

He further highlighted that under Tinubu’s leadership, sub-national governments have received more funds to drive development projects. This, he said, has allowed state governors to address underdevelopment and poverty more effectively. Citing Enugu State as an example, Nwoye praised Governor Peter Mbah for notable infrastructural developments achieved in just over two years, attributing this progress to the prudent use of increased federal allocations and improved management of internally generated revenue.

Nwoye urged Nigerians to celebrate the country’s 65th anniversary with unity and gratitude, reflecting on the freedom secured by the nation’s founding fathers. He called on citizens to share in the vision of national growth and remain committed to building an indivisible and prosperous Nigeria.
