Zamfara APC Chairman Urges Members to Secure PVCs Ahead of 2027 Elections

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, has urged party members to safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and ensure they are ready ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Danfulani made the appeal in Gusau on Saturday while addressing a large gathering of APC members and supporters from Anka Local Government Area. He was represented at the event by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris.

During the gathering, more than 20 political groups, largely made up of youths and women under the Ahmad Sharu-Anka Political Network, pledged their support to the state APC leadership. Danfulani described the show of solidarity as a strong indication of the party’s prospects for victory in 2027.

He emphasized the importance of voter cards, noting that no one can participate in elections without them. “Your PVC is your weapon on election day. Keep it safe and ready. If you have issues with your card, visit any INEC office to resolve them. Those without PVCs or with expired ones should take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise to register or renew,” he said.

The APC chairman further commended the growing unity within the party in Zamfara, expressing confidence that it would help reclaim the state for the APC in the next polls. He also called on members to remain united and committed to strengthening the party.

Earlier, Alhaji Ahmad Sharu-Anka, former Commissioner of Works in Zamfara, led the delegation of supporters and reaffirmed his loyalty to the party’s leadership. He pledged continued support to prominent APC leaders in the state, including Senator Abdul’aziz Yari and Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle.
