Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command 2 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 17 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation at Olusi Street, HopeVille Estate, Sangotedo, Ajah, Lagos.
The anti-graft agency announced the arrest on its official Facebook page, stating that the operation was carried out on Tuesday following credible intelligence linking the suspects to cybercrime activities.
During the raid, EFCC operatives recovered five vehicles, several mobile phones, and laptop computers allegedly used in fraudulent online dealings.
The agency confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
