Recently evicted Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Oluwakayikunmi Ajibade, popularly known as Kayikunmi, has spoken out about how his romantic involvement with fellow housemate Isabella influenced his experience in the house.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday, the 25-year-old from Ekiti State shared that his personality was often overshadowed by Isabella’s more vibrant and outspoken nature.
“There’s always someone who takes the lead in a relationship, and she was definitely the louder and more outgoing one. I’m more quiet and reserved,” he explained.
Kayikunmi admitted that Isabella’s dominant personality not only defined their relationship dynamic but also shaped how others perceived him within the house. He noted that some housemates distanced themselves from him due to their opinions of Isabella.
“Even though our relationship was still developing, many people didn’t get to know me for who I really am. Some avoided me altogether because they didn’t have a good rapport with her,” he said.
He recalled trying to interact with other housemates, only to be met with hesitation. “They’d say things like, ‘I don’t want drama,’ or ‘I’m staying out of issues,’ so they kept their distance.”
Despite the challenges, Kayikunmi remains positive. “I don’t think the situation was entirely negative. It happened, and I’ve accepted it. No need to dwell on it.”
