Yuan falls to 6.8195 against the US dollar

Beijing, June 24, 2026 — The Chinese yuan’s reference exchange rate eased by 24 pips to 6.8195 per US dollar on Wednesday, according to official data from the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.

The fixing is determined daily through a weighted average of quotes submitted by market makers prior to the opening of China’s interbank foreign exchange market. In the country’s spot market, the yuan is permitted to fluctuate within a 2% band above or below the central parity rate during each trading session.

The updated rate reflects the latest adjustment in the managed exchange rate system used to guide yuan trading against the US dollar.
