Ondo HoS Urges Workers to Remain Committed to Government

Akure, June 16, 2026 – Public servants in Ondo State have been urged to remain committed to the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as efforts continue to deliver on the government’s development objectives.

The charge was given by the Ondo State Head of Service, Mr Segun Odusanya, during a congratulatory visit by members of the Executive Committee of the Ondo State Senior Staff Club at his office in Akure on Tuesday.

Odusanya highlighted various initiatives and achievements of the Aiyedatiwa administration, noting that workers play a crucial role in ensuring the success of government programmes and policies.

He cautioned members of the club against allowing individuals with ulterior motives or anti-government sentiments to undermine the objectives for which the organisation was established.

According to him, the facility was created as a meeting point where workers could relax, interact and exchange ideas after official duties.

The Head of Service, who previously served as president of the club, stressed the need for members to utilise the facility responsibly for personal growth and professional development while avoiding divisive partisan activities.

He explained that the club was founded to provide a platform for civil servants to engage constructively and discuss matters affecting the public service.

Odusanya urged members not to lose sight of the vision behind the establishment of the club, emphasising that public servants should remain steadfast in their support for the current administration.

Earlier, the President of the Senior Staff Club, Comrade Mike Olaleye, expressed appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa for appointing Odusanya, a former club president, as the state’s Head of Service.

Olaleye reaffirmed the club’s commitment to supporting both the government and the office of the Head of Service.

He also pledged continued collaboration and cordial relations with Odusanya throughout his tenure, citing the longstanding connection between the Head of Service and the club.

The meeting ended with assurances of stronger cooperation between the club and the state public service leadership to promote professionalism, unity and improved service delivery across government institutions.
