The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kaduna State has announced the deployment of 2,000 personnel across the state ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, as part of measures to ensure peace and public safety during the festive period.
In a statement issued in Kaduna by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Habeeb Badamasi, the Commandant, Panam Musa, said the deployment was aimed at guaranteeing a smooth and secure celebration for residents.
He explained that the personnel consist of 120 senior officers and 1,880 junior officers positioned across prayer grounds, public recreation centres, major highways and other strategic locations throughout the state.
Musa directed area commanders and divisional officers to strengthen surveillance operations, improve intelligence gathering and intensify crime prevention efforts within their areas of responsibility.
He added that special focus would be placed on major Eid prayer venues, public gathering points and highway patrols under the ongoing “Operation Fushin Kada”.
The Commandant also assured that the corps would work closely with other security agencies to maintain law and order before, during and after the celebrations.
Residents were urged to remain vigilant, obey laws and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information to support a peaceful and incident-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The statement was released as part of efforts to reassure the public of adequate security coverage across Kaduna State during the festivities.
